"I found out about the Southwest Institute of Natural Aesthetics while I was attending a night class at their sister school the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA). The educational programs the aesthetics school (SWINA) had to offer definitely got my attention, so I scheduled a tour with the aesthetics school and the rest is history.

The tour was very pleasing thanks to the many mature trees encumbering the campus and not to mention the serene duck pond along with the tediously decorated interior of the institution. The staff was right on point; all of my questions were answered thoroughly. The class times and options were flexible enough to fit into my schedule and to make matters even more helpful; SWINA offers financial aid and payment plans, which that made the decision to further educate myself a lot easier.

All of the SWINA staff are impressively qualified and knowledgeable in all areas of the aesthetics industry. The student/teacher ratio is impeccable so one on one time with your instructor is not hard to achieve. In fact, there is an open door policy at SWINA, so anytime you need to speak with any staff member you don’t have to schedule an appointment; the staff seem to always make time to discuss your enthusiasms, concerns, or just answer any simple questions you may have.

One of the extremely unique qualities that SWINA possesses is their student clinic. The clinic has a feel and flow that’s like any successful spa out there. The ambiance, amazing products, treatment options and price lists make for an exceptional spa experience for any client, while on the other end of the totem pole, the student is able to gain experience in what a true spa employment opportunity may very well be like.

The product lines that SWINA chooses to utilize in the treatments and as retail for clients are Rhonda Allison and Hylunia. These lines are both highly prestigious in their own right using only the finest ingredients which in turn cater towards a plethora of skin care needs for any individual. SWINA also utilizes exceptional products for any body treatments including waxing and the equipment for different modality usage is also top notch such as the microcurrent, microderm, and galvanic systems.

SWINA not only offers just an aesthetics program with numerous modality experience opportunities but SWINA also offers a 180 hour course in Laser. The laser program consists of full laser didactics and hands on laser to client. The program trains their future laser technicians in laser hair reduction. photo facials, laser skin tightening and laser skin resurfacing (pixel). The beauty of this laser program is that you get to attain 75 hours with real hands on laser to client experience and again (the same in the aesthetics program); the client gets a true laser clinic experience and a safe but aggressive treatment under constant supervision of the medical director and the student receives the opportunity to experience a similar set of responsibilities expected at any successful laser clinic in “the real world” with consultations, treatment procedures, charting, etc…

The Southwest Institute of Natural Aesthetics has been a major blessing in my life. My education at SWINA has been well worth the time and effort and I have learned more in the past nine months than it seems like I did in all 4 years at a state university. I know that SWINA has been the right choice for me in changing my career path and bettering my life with something I love. I’m absolutely thrilled about my future and I wouldn’t be this ecstatic about my professional life if it wasn’t for the Southwest Institute of Natural Aesthetics."
