600-Hour Natural Aesthetics Practitioner Diploma600 Hours - 20.25** Credits Our aesthetics program has grown out of our award winning massage college. The program provides a unique 'whole body wellness' approach with a distinctive emphasis on nutrition, self care education using the Ayurvedic Theory as our education foundation. The new aesthetics curriculum has been designed to produce ‘fully conscious’ graduates in tune with current market trends and well as in tune with their clients ‘energy’. You will learn state-of-the-art skin care and anti-aging techniques, including over 20 different facial protocols. You will also become proficient in waxing, a wide variety of spa treatments and cosmetic applications, including mineral-based make-up, featuring the products by Hylunia, Rhonda Allison, and Natural Beauty Highlites. In addition, our program also offers training in Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Natural Grain Microdermabrasion, and Cranio-Sacral therapy training.
**Credits are in process of being re-evaluated Day Schedule: The schedule during the day for the first 8 weeks is Tuesday-Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in the classroom. For the following weeks thereafter, class time is usually scheduled from 8:30 a, to 12:30 pm, with clinic time schedule in the afternoon, evenings or weekends, depending on the students schedule. Night Schedule: The schedule for night classes is Tuesday-Thursday 6pm to 10pm for the first 12 weeks. The schedule after that is Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 pm to 10 pm for theory and academics. Night clinical hours may be done on Monday or Thursday nights from 5 pm to 9 pm or Saturday 9 am to 4 pm Our goal is to prepare students to take the State Board Test. The aesthetics program is designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for entry-level employment in salons, spas or clinical offices. Students are required to participate in both theory education and "hands-on" practical work on fellow students, models and clientele. All students prepare for the Arizona State Board examination. In order to prepare students for the State Board Exam, clinic floor students are tested against Arizona State Board requirements on a routine basis. These examinations are referred to as Mock Boards and are as similar to the actual exam as possible in order to prepare students to obtain a license in Arizona.
